INSPIRED BY CULTURAL DIVERSITY.

Growing up in a country with over 300 ethnicities and 700 spoken languages, Yully believes that diversity creates strength. His ability to be comfortable in uncomfortable situations has shaped his creative thinking and problem-solving approach, and he looks forward to applying that mindset to his future career.

Yully Purwono is a marketing professional with over 10 years’ experience in graphic design, marketing and sales in a variety of sectors including for Bank Mandiri, one of the largest banks in Indonesia. He holds BA’s in both Product Design and Psychology. In addition to his professional activities, Yully founded and managed a foundation promoting mental health awareness and support for children with special needs which has assisted over 500 Indonesian families. The combination of corporate and non-profit experience has given Yully the opportunity to make a positive impact in both business and society – something he carries over into all his activities.

Currently, Yully is a Thunderbird SHARE Fellow, the most prestigious graduate-level full scholarship and executive mentorship program at the Thunderbird School of Global Management. Simultaneous to his studies, he volunteers for Local First Arizona, Pauline Foundation, and is co-president for Thunderbird’s Rotary Club, the only official Rotary Club operating in a university worldwide. Yully has been selected to work with the City of Los Angeles for the UN Sustainable Development Goals Project as a Digital Design Coordinator. After graduating in December 2019, Yully aspires to pursue a career in marketing and sales as well as brand development.

Yully Purwono has over 10 years’ experience in Graphic Design, Marketing and Sales including for one of the largest banks in Indonesia. All of these combined experiences have served to develop his expertise in effectively managing business processes. The knowledge that he gained from his psychology education helps him to understand clients, partners, and colleagues better and enables engage with them in a respectful and professional business manner.
01. BRANDING.

It’s all start with branding. This is the way we can introduce ourselves as products or services to customers and to get their recognition. Yully has experiences in creating logos and building brands for various institutions, ranging from private companies, foundations, as well as education.

02. MARKETING.

Marketing is one of the most important things a business can do. Not only does marketing build brand awareness, but it can also increase sales, grow businesses, and engage customers. One of the Yully’s experience was helping to design a social media campaign that made the Jakarta Globe the largest newspaper community on Facebook in Southeast Asia in 2010.

03. DIGITAL.

The Internet has changed the way we live our life for the last decade. Everything is now connected and if it’s not, it’s about to. Today, digital presence is necessary if not mandatory for our brand and business. Yully has experience in building a website and promoting through social media as well as using digital marketing platforms.
