Growing up in a country with over 300 ethnicities and 700 spoken languages, Yully believes that diversity creates strength. His ability to be comfortable in uncomfortable situations has shaped his creative thinking and problem-solving approach.
Yully Purwono is a marketing/relationship management professional with over 15 years’ experience in sales, marketing, digital strategy, and graphic design, in a variety of sectors including for Arizona State University Knowledge Enterprise – Thunderbird School of Global Management and Bank Mandiri, one of the largest banks in Indonesia. He holds BA’s in both Product Design and Psychology. In addition to his professional activities, Yully founded and managed a foundation promoting mental health awareness and support for children with special needs which has assisted over 500 Indonesian families. The combination of corporate and non-profit experience has given Yully the opportunity to make a positive impact in both business and society – something he carries over into all his activities.
Yully is a Thunderbird SHARE Fellow, the most prestigious graduate-level full scholarship and executive mentorship program at the Thunderbird School of Global Management. Simultaneous to his studies, he volunteered for Local First Arizona, Pauline Foundation, and acted as a co-president for Thunderbird’s Rotary Club, the only official Rotary Club operating in a university worldwide. Yully has been selected to work with the City of Los Angeles for the UN Sustainable Development Goals Project as a Digital Design Coordinator. Upon graduation, Yully received an Outstanding Graduate award from Arizona State University President and Dean’s Circle Award due to a balanced combination between his academic achievements, leadership skills, strong dedication and lasting contributions toward Thunderbird and Arizona State University.
Yully currently works as a Client Relationship Director for Thunderbird, managing client relationships in Indonesia, and its broader surrounding regions.
